Macon- Albany State guard Flem Tucker could be playing pro ball in Macon this summer.
The Macon Blaze of the newly formed World Basketball Association drafted Tucker on Sunday.
Tucker, a two time most valuable player in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, will be given a tryout early next week by the team and if all goes well he could be signed to a contract.
Tucker was drafted one day after playing in the Black College All-Star game at Morehouse College where the Louisville native won the slam dunk contest.
The Macon Blaze open the season Thursday night at Bristol, Tennessee Virginia and will play their first home game this Friday against Raleigh.
The Blaze are coached by Cordele native and former Atlanta Hawk great Wayne "Tree" Rollins and their roster includes former Mitchell-Baker standout Ronald Blackshear and Rocky Lane of Tifton.
