Albany - More than 70 new Albany businesses open under one roof. The Island Market, at the Galleria on Westover Boulevard, is a mini-mall with 73 vendors.
You can buy everything from purses to artwork, and most of the merchandise is made by Southwest Georgians.
"Albany needed something like this, and I think it will do real well. It's a one-stop shop whether you're shopping for your mother, daddy, sister, brother-in-law, or children. We have a lot of children's gifts and other stuff," said Island Market owner Jay Youmans.
Owners Jay and Melissa Youmans say if you have something to sell, there's still space left.
