Valdosta - As temperatures warm up in South Georgia, it's the prime breeding season for mosquitoes.

Mosquito spraying begins in Valdosta Monday night. The spraying truck will cover the entire city once every eight to 10 days. The spraying will start around 6:00 and continue until about 9:30.

The Public Works Department encourages people to help them in their efforts by eliminating standing water around their homes.
