Albany -- Some young South Georgia athletes made an important play towards better health . Saturday  morning, thousands of students from across South Georgia waited in long lines to get a free physical at Phoebe.

Inside, students had all their vitals signs tested by doctors and nurses to make sure they'll be in prime condition for the upcoming season.

The annual service at Phoebe encourages young athletes to take their health seriously. Most schools around the country require that students have full physical exams before participating on any sporting team.
