Albany- Nearly fifty dogs came out to the Parks at Chehaw to participate in the first "Bark in the Park Pageant."

The event benefits Paws Patrol, a pet therapy program.

" We got to hospitals and nursing homes, and we do help kids read at local schools and at the YDC, and we wanted to do a little fundraiser and I thought how cute, we've got Ms. Albany, Ms. Junior Albany how wonderful to have Ms. Canine Albany and Mr. Canine Albany," says president Marty Harris.

The Canines not only competed in a beauty contest, but they also won awards for talent, bushiest tail, and biggest paws.
