Tift County --More fallout for the Tift County School Board president accused of threatening to kill a man he found trespassing on his land.

No one was hurt during the shooting, but school board President Richard Golden was charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property, the latter stems from damage to a car.

Thursday the Tift County branch of the NAACP called for Golden's immediate resignation. In a statement to WALB News, the group says the welfare of the children of Tift County can not be left in the hands of a man like Golden.

The Tift County school board has not yet released a statement on the matter. The NAACP says if action isn't taken soon by the board, they will take legal steps to have Golden removed.
