Cook County-- Just a few miles down Highway 37 from where we are, you'll find one of Georgia's premier state parks.
Reed Bingham State Park covers more than 1600 acres. The park surrounds a 375-acre lake where you can fish, boat, and water ski. There are also nearly four dozen campsites, three fishing docks, four miles of hiking trails, and a beach.
Rangers here also run a program to protect the endangered gopher tortoise.
Reed Bingham State Park also has many special events coming up Memorial Day weekend.
