Camilla- They are saying tennis anyone this weekend in Camilla.
The 29th annual Camilla Pro Tennis Invitational swings into action two months earlier than usual.
The date for the premiere senior tennis event in the country was changed from June to April in hopes that the temperature would be cooler this time of year.
This year's event has already raised $65,000, most of which goes towards the Boys and Girls Club of Mitchell County and the Mitchell County Service Center.
Tournament founder Eddie Williamson thinks the earlier date this year will benefit everyone from the fans to the pro's themselves.
"It's probably smart and I think that the spectators will probably enjoy it more, my host families that have all the socials probably appreciate it and certaintly the players do," Williamson said.
The Camilla Pro Tennis Invitational runs Friday thru Sunday.
There will be a free junior clinic Friday at 4:00 p.m. and a free women's clinic Saturday t 10:30 a.m..
