Albany- One of the key ingredients to the Westover Lady Patriots success in cross country the past four years is moving on to the next level.
Senior Jamila Young signing a national letter of intent to run cross country with Mercer University Wednesday.
Young, who is also a standout in the mile and two mile runs in track, is a four time region champion in cross country and also holds the school record with a time of 19:35.
Jamila's best finish in the state cross country meet was sixth place her junior year.
Young's teammate Lakecia Ealey will sign a track scholarship with the University of Florida on Friday.
