Cyclist touring Peach State

Macon- Some of the world's greatest cyclists are pedaling through Georgia this week.

The Dodge Tour De Georgia begins Tuesday in Macon. This the is second year the race has been held and it's already become a premier cycling even.

Five-time Tour De France Champion Lance Armstrong is competing this year. The race benefits the Georgia Cancer Coalition. Armstrong is a cancer survivor.

"It's my story and it's my life that I've lived through so it's a combined two of my big passions in life and it's a great opportunity," Armstrong said.

The race is 653 miles and includes 59,000 feet of climbing on Georgia roads.
