Dougherty -- South Georgians now have a new place to enjoy the beauty of Radium Springs. This morning, the Radium Springs Wildlife Observance Point and walking trail was dedicated in Dougherty County to the people of South Georgia. The observation deck gives visitors a birds eye view over Radium Creek.
"It's just a peaceful place and you can just hear the birds and the trees are just so old and lovely and water changes color with the different times of day its just a nice place to come and look out," says Lorriane Alexander of Merck.
The six acre park is a result of years of planning by city and county officials, the Radium Springs Community and grants by various corporate sponsors including Merck.
