Albany -- Three Albany men have been arrested for that burglary at the Millennium Mall Wednesday. Hundreds of the stolen items from the Mall have been recovered.
The Police evidence room is crammed with the items stolen from the Mall. Some of what they found was being sold on Albany street corners.
Wednesday morning the Millennium Mall owners found their stores ransacked by burglars. The thieves had hauled away truck loads of merchandise.
Investigators say this is the largest burglary case they have even seen. Investigator Kawaski Barnes of the Albany Police Department said "Probably over 100 thousand dollars worth of stuff reported missing. Probably haven't recovered half of that yet. We recovered a lot of car stereo equipment, mobile televisions and D.V.D. players for your vehicle, amplifiers, things of that nature. A lot of clothing, and a lot of jewelry."
Investigators arrested three men caught with the stolen property. 30 year old David Rush, 40 year old Derrick Williams, and 17 year old Joshua Morris. They are charged with theft by receiving.
Investigators don't think these men actually broke into the Mall. Police are still looking for 8 or 9 more people involved in the burglary.
