Albany-- What would you do if someone stole your car? Not just any car, but your pride and joy-- your "dream ride"?

Fliers are popping up around Albany, announcing a search for a missing car. "It's a classic," says Tammy Lindsey.

Tammy hasn't lost a cat or dog. She's looking for her car. "Mine was parked here, and they just left it sitting here and took mine!"

Her 1987 Monte Carlo Super Sport was stolen from the Big Lots parking lot Monday. Tammy said, "I loved that car. I put a lot of time, of myself, in that car. And it's no ordinary car. They last made those cars in 1987. They were the last models made like that, the Super Sport."

That's why you like it? "Oh, yea, oh yea!"

That's why Lindsey's on this mission, producing and putting up fliers all over Albany. "Someone is going to spot that car. It was just about out of gas. I know they had to stop and buy gas. Someone seen something, and I hope they will do the honorable thing and call the Albany Police."

A determined woman, trying to find her prized ride.

Police say car thefts in Albany continue to be a problem. The Albany Police reports 364 car thefts in the first 11 months of 2003.
