Pelham - A new cotton gin should be up and running this fall, opening up at least 45 jobs.
Southern Gin is being built on US 19 South in Mitchell County.
Farmers from five surrounding counties own the gin, but the City of Pelham plans on helping fund a seed warehouse. The company will be annexed into the city.
Jobs that are available are both full-time and seasonal.
