Police Chief resigns

Dawson-- A South Georgia Police Chief resigns after being suspended from his job.

Dawson Police Chief Lee Webb turned in his resignation Friday afternoon. Webb was asked to resign from the police department, which has been under scrutiny, but refused.

An agreement was reached late Friday, accepting Webb's resignation. He will be paid 30-days salary as well as remaining vacation.

Under the terms of the agreement, neither side can discuss the matters of the dispute.
