Albany-- Thursday's heavy rain flooded a few streets, including in the 1800 Block of West Oglethorpe. Traffic was slowed, but the street was not blocked. The water ran off is less than an hour.

The quick downpours made driving difficult for short periods of time today on North Slappey Blvd. Two cars crashed on North Slappey. There were no life threatening injuries.

The good news for farmers is that the rains broke what was becoming a drought, and ought to be just in time for those crops already planted.
