Albany -- Phoebe Putney is working to help promote health in our community. Thursday the Hospital's Community Vision program handed over 70 thousand dollars in grant money to 16 non profit community groups. The organizations awarded help promote health, education and economic growth in South Georgia.

"We have funded things for diabetes, for cancer, for the heart a whole host of organizations so this time we are pleased to be able to fund 16," says Cynthia Georgevice- president of marketing for Phoebe.

The next deadline apply for grant money from Phoebe's Community Vision Program is August the 1st.
