Three men bust into store

April 1, 2004

Thomas County - The Holiday Market in Thomas County was broken into around 2:30 AM Thursday. Three people took a sledge hammer and busted through a rear wall.

Police believe one man bought a hammer at wal-mart that was used to break into the store where they stole $140.00 in cash and lottery tickets.

Lt. Tim Watkins says, "It's a similar style of burglary that has occurred in Thomas, Leon, Tallahassee, Gadsen County and also Moultrie, Georgia."

A Pavo store was also broken into, but nothing was taken. Anyone with information should call the Thomas County Sheriff's Department at 229-225-3333.
