Lee County - Lee County Prosecutor Craig Mathis turned himself in Wednesday for booking on DUI and other charges stemming from a March wreck. Mathis was fingerprinted and photographed at the Lee County jail.

March 9, 2004, Mathis pulled out in front of an oncoming car on U.S. 19 at Century Road. He was thrown from his motorcycle and spent a few days in the hospital. He did take a breathe test at the scene but refused to take a blood-alcohol test. He's now charged with DUI alcohol refusal and failure to yield while turning left.

His license was suspended, and he was released on his own recognizance. No hearing date has been set for Mathis.
