Man arrested for assaulting ex-wife

March 30, 2004

Thomasville - Police say Keith Allen Smith of Perry broke into Tammy Deibert's house in Ochlocknee over the weekend. He threatened Deibert and her guest, Justin Henderson with a gun.

He then told them to disrobe and have sex in front of him. They refused and Smith repeatedly struck the man on the head with the pistol and threatened to kill him. The man was finally able to escape to a friend's house where he dialed 911.

This isn't the first time Smith has been arrested for assaulting his ex-wife.

Lt. Tim Watkins says, "I know there was a prior incident last year where he broke into her house and attacked her with a knife. And he's currently on probation for that offense."

Smith is being held without bond in the Thomas County Jail.
