Sylvester- City Manager Danny Lucas says he's gotten complaints from the business community about junk and trash littering the area.

Now, along with the chamber of commerce, the city is sponsoring the Great Sylvester Cleanup. It's a program that involves the community in beautifying the streets and that will hopefully spur more economic development.

"When you talk about economic development, what you're talking about is a holistic effort in which the schools have to be presentable and top-notch, the streets have to be presentable and top-notch and free of litter," says Lucas.

The Great Sylvester Cleanup Day is April 25th. For more information about how you can help contact Angel Gray at 776-5717.
