Man robs Waffle House

March 23, 2004

Albany- About 2:45 Tuesday morning, a man wearing a mask, armed with a handgun, burst into the Waffle House on East Oglethorpe Boulevard.

Shouting profanities and holding the gun on the clerk, he took the money from the cash register.

When the robber started toward the safe, a cook in the back of the restaurant ran out the door.

The cook ran to the McDonalds across the street and called police. The robber fled with an undetermined amount of money.
