Valdosta- The postseason awards keep rolling in for Valdosta State men's basketball coach Jim Yarbrough.
Two weeks after winning his first ever Gulf South Conference coach of the year award, Yarbrough has been named coach of the year in the south region by National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Yarbrough wins this award for the second time in the last three years after guiding the Blazers to a 25- 4 record, their second GSC Eastern Division title and second trip to the NCAA Division II regionals in the last three years.
He is now eligible for the national Division II coach of the year award.
Yarbrough, who has posted an 80- 33 record in four seasons at Valdosta State, will receive his NABC award during the NCAA final four next weekend in San Antonio.
