Albany - Police are investigating possible misuse of money in the Albany Public Works Department. But, no one has been arrested.
The Albany Police Department Internal Affairs Division is investigating possible improprieties in the Solid Waste Division of Public Works. The City of Albany spokesman would not comment on just how much public money is involved or whether the money has been recovered.
While the police department typically would only investigate criminal matters, spokesman Kevin Hogencamp says no one has been arrested, but the matter is still under investigation.
"The Albany Police Department is reviewing the results of internal affairs investigation to determine whether any additional action is forthcoming," said Hogencamp.
