Thomasville - Jennifer Cruz was dropped off in Calvary and brought to Archbold hospital in Thomasville for treatment of minor injuries.
Thomasville police say her ex-husband, Elberto Cruz, broke into her house yesterday, beat a man with a baseball bat, and then took Cruz against her will.
"Well, the victim is back home, as of last night," says Lt. Mark Scott. "The information we have now is that she was assaulted at the home, yesterday morning, forced to accompany suspect to Quincey, Florida."
The man beaten with a bat, Jose Cruz, is hospitalized in serious condition.
