Albany -- An East Albany family of five has to crawl out a bedroom window to escape a late night fire in their home.

Broken glass and a window frame lay on the ground outside this mobile home on Cordele Road.

Monday night at 11:30 Angie Valdez, her husband, and three children had to jump out of that window, because of the smoke blocking their door.

Built up lint in their clothes dryer caught fire, filling the home with smoke.

The Valdez family was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Their home sustained 5-thousand dollars damage.
