Echols County - A South Georgia man died when his motorcycle crashed into a tree.
Thirty-nine-year-old Lonnie Collier was driving his Honda Valkyrie motorcycle down Highway 135 in Echols County Saturday night when he lost control and hit a pine tree.
The accident happened around 6:30PM about 6 miles south of Statenville. Collier was not wearing a helmet.
State Troopers say alcohol and excessive speed were involved.
