    The Albany Police Depart is engaged in a recruitment campaign to get its officer corps up to full strength. APD is budgeted for 214 officers, and right now is about 20 officers short of that level, and

Americus-- Two Americus women have been murdered in just two weeks. Now, there is a reward for information.

29-year-old Priscilla Clark was found strangled February 28th in a Bibb County mobile home park.

11 days later, another Americus woman, 26-year-old Brenda Westbrook, was discovered dead inside an abandoned house in Americus.

Bibb County investigators are working with the Americus Police Department in both cases, although it has not been determined yet if these cases are related.

The Americus Police Department is offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information in the Westbrook case. There is a separate $1,000 dollar reward being offered in the Clark murder.
