(San Diego-AP) -- The San Diego Chargers have added their second free-agent linebacker, signing Randall Godfrey to a three-year contract.
The eight-year veteran had 59 tackles for the Seattle Seahawks last year, starting 14 games.
The former Lowndes High and University of Georgia star played in Dallas from 1996-99 before going to the Tennessee Titans.
He's started 104 of the 117 games he's played, collecting 821 tackles.
Godfrey is the fourth free agent signed by the Chargers, joining linebacker Steve Foley and offensive linemen Mike Goff and Leander Jordan.
The Chargers also gave wide receiver David Boston permission to seek a trade.
The Chargers are eager to move Boston, who is due a three million-dollar bonus on Monday.
