Americus - Brenda Westbrook is the second Americus woman found dead in the last month.

A man considering buying this property on Matt Hart Drive in Americus found Westbrook's body in this abandoned house. Police are awaiting autopsy results from the crime lab to find out how she died.

Authorities say it may be a homicide, but they won't say if they have any suspects.

"Not for certain, but foul play is indicated," said Americus Police Chief Mike Yates. "We're pursuing a number of investigative leads at this point."

Another Americus woman, Priscilla Clark, was found strangled in Bibb County on February 28th. The people in this neighborhood knew both women, but police are not saying whether the two cases are related.
