Woman wins free truck

March 9, 2004

Moultrie - A Moultrie woman pushed a button and won a new truck.

Stephanie Moore went home with a 2004 GMC Canyon mid size truck on Monday.

Moore was at Edwards Motors in Moultrie when she played the Hot Button promotion game. In January, she hit the blue Onstar button and an operator told her she won a car.

The exciting news almost injured the Edwards Motors' salesman, Matt Eure. Moore explains, "I almost tore his arm off, I was really excited about it, I was beating him on the arm when the onstar person came on and screaming and hollering. He jumped out of the truck and I jumped out of the truck too."

Moore was the 72nd winner out of a thousand in the nation.

GM officials said the odds of winning were about one in 5,500. The hot button promotion is over.
