Albany- Nearly 140 bowlers from all over Georgia competed in the 7th annual Larry Shafer Memorial Senior All-star Tournament.

For two days they have been bowling game after trying to knock out their opponents by knocking down as many pins as possible.

"e have some super bowlers in this weekend bowling here, and some super scores, some real good scores. These guys are all 55 and older, and it's been a good tournament," says Virgil Halte, of the Albany Bowling Association.

Cliff Mobley, of Chattahoochee, took home first place honors in the competition with a score of 2,503 for a total of ten games.

Lamar Bramblett, also of Chattahoochee and Jack Hooper, of Golden Isles, took second and third place honors.
