Valdosta man wanted for robberies

March 5, 2004

Valdosta - Police are looking for a man who robbed two businesses with a kitchen knife.

Both robberies happened last weekend at the Merita Bakery Store on North Forrest Street and  MS Food Mart on East Park Avenue. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, but no one was injured.

Police have an arrest warrant out for 38-year-old Daryl Bernard Robinson but haven't been able to find him.  "Because we believe Mr. Robinson committed two robberies and did so with a knife, we believe he is armed and dangerous," said Lt. Brian Childress.

Robinson is described as a black male, 5'5, and weighs about 170 pounds.

If you have any information on Robinson's whereabouts, call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at 229-293-3091.
