Edwards brings campaign to South Georgia

February 22, 2004

Albany- With one of the most important rounds of democratic primaries less than two weeks away, it appears the two front runners are battling for Georgia's voters.

Senator John Kerry flew into Atlanta and spent the morning at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. He also held a town hall meeting in Buckhead Sunday afternoon.

While Kerry is focusing on the Atlanta vote, Senator John Edwards is turning his attention to South Georgia. He will hold a rally in Albany Monday afternoon.

"He'll take about jobs. He'll talk about trade. Obviously, with his experience in Iowa, he'll talk about agricultural industry which is extremely important down here," says Jay Heidbrink, of Edwards' campaign.

"Once you meet him, once you hear what he has to say you really believe in him and you really believe that will get up every day and fight for you. I think a lot of the country just hasn't be exposed to what he thinks and what he believes yet," says Jenny Yeager, also of Sen. Edwards' Campaign.

The rally will be held at Thronateeska Heritage Museum in Albany at 3:30 PM.
