Tifton- For 31 of the past 35 years the ABAC student-run newspaper, The Stallion, has won the first place honors from the Georgia College Press Association for General Excellence in the two year division.

The paper also received no less than second place in the contest's eight general award categories. [

"We had like 24 individual awards this year. A lot of the Stallion staff writers concentrate on sports, they concentrate on features, they concentrate on movie reviews a lot of different things, and even the pictures. We had some great pictures in last year's Stallion," says Director of Public Relations, Mike Chason.

The Stallion is published every two weeks and the honors were awarded for the Spring 2003 and Fall 2003 semesters.
