Valdosta - New jobs are coming to one South Georgia county.
Robert Bearden Trucking out of Cairo is extending its operation into Lowndes County. The company will bring 63 new jobs to the community.
Bearden says Lowndes County is an ideal location for his business. "Valdosta seems to be the crossroads of the trucking industry because of I-10 and I-75 and the chamber's done an ideal job of providing us with a place to put a maintenance facility, so yes, its a very good location," said Bearden.
The trucking headquarters will be located in the Perimeter East Industrial Park.
