Albany -- Senate candidate Herman Cain says his fundraising success shows that his campaign is gaining momentum.

The Republican from metro Atlanta has raised more than one and a half million dollars. Cain is running for the Republican nomination to succeed Zell Miller in the U.S. Senate.

Cain said "Money is just one of those dynamics that you need to have in order to win. We now know that we will be competitive in terms of fund raising"

Cain is the chairman of Godfather's Pizza. He is also making campaign stops in Tifton, Moultrie, and Nashville Friday.
