Albany- Darton College's on-line diploma program continues to grow. So the college's rural technology network is getting another grant to help.
The Rural Technology Network over sees the distance learning classes, and helped the Southwest Georgia public health district build and expand its website. Part of the $200,000 grant will be used to expand on-line diploma programs.
"We'll also be looking to add some additional partners to the distance learning program to offer the medical laboratory technology degree, as well as putting our histology degree into a distance learning program as well," said Jon Sizemore.
Darton offers many classes on-line, and you can earn a diploma in some fields without ever stepping in a classroom.
