Thomasville - Robert Maplethorpe's artwork is well known for his flower photographs, but even more so for his homo erotic work. Some of his photographs, mainly flowers, will go on display at the Cultural Center in Thomasville this week.
Arch McNeill says none of his work should be allowed there. He says, "Glorifying Robert Maplethorpe in any way to me is wrong and is not acceptable in this community where we value family values ."
The exhibit will go up Wednesday at the Cultural Center.
