Cordele- Crisp County senior quarterback Joe Joe Brown has verbally committed to sign a scholarship with the University of South Carolina.

Brown chose the Gamecocks over Wake Forest, N.C. State, Maryland, Louisville and Vanderbilt.

 The two year starter threw for over 4,000 and rushed for close to a thousand more in his career for the Cougars.

Brown was also selected to play for the South team in the annual GACA All-Star game in Columbus last month.
