January 15, 2004 Lee County- A Lee County man found his fiancee shot to death in his home last night.
At this point, the case is being treated as a death investigation, but not necessarily as a homicide. Her name was not immediately released pending family notification.
Authorities say Jack Ivey found her, dead in his home on North Hampton Road around 7:30 p.m. last night. The woman and Ivey were apparently engaged.
The GBI is investigating the case. Her body was sent to the crime lab in Moultrie where they hope to help determine the exact circumstances of her death.
