Albany- Two sisters suffer minor injuries about 10:00 Tuesday morning when their van overturns in the westbound lane of the Liberty Expressway.
The women apparently had loaded their van with cartons of soda, and their load shifted, causing the van to fishtail and overturn.
"They went to the store and bought a bunch of twelve packs of soda, loaded them up in the back of the van," said APD Cpl. William Dowdell. "As they were traveling west on the expressway in the right lane the van began to fish-tail back side to side and the driver lost control, spun around clockwise started sliding sideways in the medium and the roadway and finally overturned."
The sisters were transported by an ambulance to be treated for cuts and bruises. The accident slowed traffic and only one lane was open during clean-up.
