New GSP Post

Cordele-- A new state patrol post is under construction on Highway 300 in Crisp County.

The new Cordele Post building is next to the Crisp County Law Enforcement Center, about a mile from the interstate.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper Ronald Warren says, "We are very excited to be next to the Sheriff's Office. It gives us an opportunity to develop our relationship with the Sheriff's Office and obviously being neighbors with such a fine department can only help us and we are looking forward to that."

The new post will provide much needed space for troopers, who have been cramped at their current location in Cordele for forty years. The facility will open this summer.
