Albany-- Most people dread getting a new license simply because of the long lines at the DMVS. But, the waiting is about to get a little better in Albany.

The line was out the door this morning at the DMVS branch on Liberty Expressway.

There's not much space inside for all the people needing a driver's license. But, the DMVS is about to move into a bigger location--good news for those in line today like Vidal Fisher, "I mean it's better. I mean as you can see this is a big problem. I mean I just moved back to Albany and I'm not used to waiting this long."

The new branch is located Newton Road near the Oakridge Road intersection. The DMVS branch will be closed Sunday, January 4th until Wednesday, January 7th for the move. The new branch will reopen Thursday, January 8th.
