Valdosta - Police are looking for someone who set fire to a man's apartment while he was away on military duty.

It happened Monday at the Lakeside Apartments on Northside Drive. Neighbors called the police when they smelled smoke coming from next door. When firefighters arrived, Apartment L-5 was engulfed in flames.

Investigators say someone started the fire on the couch and in the bedroom and caused major damage. "We have no suspects at this time and no motive," said Lt. Brian Childress. "We are treating it as an arson and have an investigator working it now."

If you have any information on this case, call the Valdosta Police Department's Tip Line at 229-293-3091.
