Albany- Carol Hollomon's daughter, Megan, was born with severe mental retardation, and required around the clock care until her death.

Tuesday, Carol helped dedicate "Megan's House" in her honor. It's a respite care home in Albany run by the Easter Seals for children with disabilities, like Megan.

"Even though she was a wonderful child, and I loved her so much, she was a challenge, because there was so many things to do for her," Hollomon said. "She was very dependent on us, and this respite care home is something I wanted to come about for so long, because moms and dads need a break."

Starting in January, parents will be able to take there disabled child to Megan's House, knowing their child will be cared for by a qualified professional.

This is the first respite care home of its kind in South Georgia.
