Valdosta - A South Georgia organization is helping deployed troops keep in touch with their families.

RTG Media is sponsoring the Minutes for Moody phone card drive. They're asking for new or partially used pre-paid phone cards to send troops deployed overseas.

"People don't realize how important it is to talk to your family members during the holidays until that luxury is taken away," said Amber Nifong, Mix 96 D.J.  "This is our way of saying thank you while they're off helping the country out."

The phone cards can be dropped off at the Sprint Store on Baytree Road or any Blimpie location. The drive will end New Years Day.
