Tifton- Home improvement tool distributors Orgill, Inc. will received $500,000.00 to purchase a new racking system to serve the expansion of their Tifton distribution center. Carpet pad manufacturer

Alliance will also get $500,000.00 to purchase equipment for a new distribution facility. After being destroyed by fire in 2002, textile company Avondale Mills will receive $200,000.00 to help purchase new machinery and equipment.

"If you look at what's happening across those industries it's also helped us bring in restaurants and retail, providing employment for our region, so its been a great opportunity for us," says Chamber of Commerce President, James Chavez.

Together the grants will help create 250 new jobs and help retain nearly 300 others.
