Albany -- Some very special children got a chance to use their imaginations Friday. The children gathered to a large meeting room in downtown are from the Liberty House and the Open Arms program.
Many of the children or their mothers were victims of sexual or physical abuse. Friday morning Albany Tomorrow provided the children with a day of arts, crafts and fun. "It allows the children a chance to come together and have Christmas and meet Santa," says Tonia Jacobs, director of the girls club of the Open Arms program. "It's difficult for them being away from their families during the holiday season," she says. In addition to food and games Santa made an appearance at the event giving out presents to the children's delights.
