(Jacksonville-AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Marcus Stroud earned a spot in the Pro Bowl, marking the second straight season that the Jaguars placed only one player on the all-star roster.
Stroud heads into the final two games with 90 tackles and 4½ sacks.
He joins punter Chris Hanson as Jacksonville's only Pro Bowlers over the last two seasons.
The Jaguars are 10-20 over that span.
Stroud's ascension to the team was a sign of just how well the third-year veteran has played.
In for nearly 90 percent of the snaps, about one-third more than normal for a tackle, Stroud has been the key stopper on a line that has improved from 25th to second in the league in run defense.
The Jaguars have moved from 20th to sixth in overall defense.
